John Juliano, CFE

With more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Juliano comes to Mellowship from Eastern States Exposition, home of The Big E, the sixth largest fair in North America and the largest event on the East Coast. As talent buyer and producer, Juliano was responsible for more than 400 performances and all venues during the 17-day event.

Throughout Juliano’s tenure at The Big E, he worked his way up from mucking stalls part-time in the Operations department to becoming the “Music Man” who conceived and implemented some of the organization’s most iconic programs and experiences.

Most notably, Juliano brought The Big Easy to The Big E with the addition of an authentic Mardi Gras Parade that came straight from New Orleans, developed numerous museum quality exhibits (including the 007 James Bond Spiral Stunt Car Exhibit), established the 6,500-seat xfinity arena, introduced the concept of paid concerts and spearheaded initiatives for showcasing emerging artists.

Juliano has a knack for creating one-of-a-kind, audience-engaging events and elevated The Big E’s entertainment offerings to a global level by booking top influencers and icons of the time – from David Hasselhoff at the height of Baywatch; DJ Pauly D, during Jersey Shore; Paris Hilton; Mike Brewer, of Wheeler Dealers; Danny “The Kount” Koker, of Counting Cars; to the millennia’s social media stars of the minute.

Juliano served as president of the International Entertainment Buyers Association, in addition to multiple terms on its Board, and was a board member of the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Country Music Association (CMA). He is a Certified Fair Executive through the International Association of Fairs & Expositions (IAFE).
